Smart Scale ZS1 is designed for Home Assistant only. A compatible Zigbee 3.0 coordinator and the required Home Assistant setup are needed.
The base product on this page includes Smart Scale ZS1 only. The THIRDREALITY Voice & Music Assistant is sold separately unless you select the bundle option. If you already own the speaker, you can purchase the scale by itself and use both devices in the same Home Assistant system.
Smart Weighing for Home Assistant
Smart Scale ZS1 sends weight readings to Home Assistant through your compatible Zigbee setup. Use it with the Scale Aid dashboard to build guided cooking, drink-mixing, portion-control, and nutrition workflows around accurate weight data.
1. Home Assistant and Scale Aid
After the scale is added to Home Assistant, choose a recipe, preset food, or custom food in Scale Aid. The scale then provides the measured weight used for calorie and nutrition calculations.
2. Precision Weighing and Tare
Measure up to 5,000 g (11 lb), and use the tare function to reset the display to zero with a container in place before adding ingredients. This makes the scale suitable for cooking, drink mixing, meal preparation, and portion tracking.
3. Zigbee 3.0 and Long Battery Life
Low-power Zigbee 3.0 connectivity provides responsive weight reporting while extending battery life. The scale is powered by two AAA batteries and can operate for up to 12 months, depending on usage and network conditions.
Optional Bundle Experience
Use the scale with the separately sold THIRDREALITY Voice & Music Assistant, or select the bundle option on this page, to add spoken guidance and hands-free interaction. Both devices work together through the same Home Assistant system for coordinated weight and voice workflows.
4. Voice-Guided Recipes and Drink Mixing
With the optional Voice & Music Assistant and the appropriate Home Assistant workflow, spoken instructions can guide you through recipes and weight targets step by step. The companion speaker uses dual microphones for voice capture and a built-in 3 W speaker for clear spoken responses.
5. Nutrition Calculations with Spoken Results
Choose a preset or custom food in Scale Aid, then use the measured weight to calculate calories and other configured nutrition values. With the optional Voice & Music Assistant, Home Assistant can announce the results aloud. Weight and calculated values can also be stored and reviewed through Home Assistant according to your Recorder settings.
6. Local-First Voice and Audio
The optional Voice & Music Assistant runs a lightweight Linux system on a quad-core ARM A53 processor with 256 MB of RAM. It supports local audio capture, playback, and communication with Home Assistant. Voice processing can remain local when Home Assistant is configured with a fully local Assist pipeline.
