Yes. It acts as a Zigbee repeater to extend signal range through mesh networking, with improved performance compared with Smart Plug E2.

Which platforms support energy monitoring?

You can view the energy monitoring dashboard in SmartThings and Home Assistant through Z2M or ZHA, and create routines when power consumption is too high or too low.

Will OTA updates on supported platforms affect the outlet status?

OTA updates are supported only on Home Assistant, Hubitat, and THIRDREALITY platforms and do not affect the outlet on/off status.

What is status recovery, and which platforms support it?

Status recovery means users can customize the on/off state after the device powers on again. This feature is available in the ThirdReality app and in Home Assistant Zigbee2MQTT.

Why does Smart Plug E3 show power consumption when nothing is plugged in?

A tiny amount of power, less than 1 watt, is used just to stay powered on. This small value is displayed so you always know how much power the device itself is using.
